Avr-gcc.exe application error in Eclipse using Windows 8

 

In Windows 8 Eclipse IDE shows error like avr-gcc.exe application error while build process of any c project. We cannot perform build operation because of this error.For this type of issue we need to add a dll file in Winavr>Utils>bin.This type problem occurs only in windows 8

 

Windows 8

1. Go to below link

2. Then go to msys-1.0-vista64.zip  file download link location http://www.madwizard.org/download/electronics/msys-1.0-vista64.zip

3. Extract the downloaded file

4. Copy the msys-1.0.dll file and paste it Winavr>Utils >Bin*

5. Click on replace the file button 

6. Restart the eclipse now you can able to build the project

*Note:Paste the dll file where your Winavr installed
